- Small 19th century Nantucket
sewing basket in fine original condition. 8 1/2" in
diameter, but somewhat out of round. We believe this is
an uncommon form for a Nantucket basket. Stands 4 1/2" tall.
There are traces of an old sticker in the bottom of the interior
that probably can be removed if desired. We chose not to
do this while it has been in our personal collection and will
leave the decision up to the new owner. There are traces
of what may have been an old red wash or stain visible in the
photographs. (BO-36)
