- Patriotic plaque with eagle
clutching arrows and an olive branch, symbolizing war and peace,
and an American shield. It also carries a banner in its
beak bearing the U.S. motto. Carved by the Artistic Carving Co.
of Boston (1881-1955). This is a relatively uncommon form
since most of the company's carvings were not done on plaques.
In excellent original condition with only minor wear.
