- Small grain painted dome
top trunk with fine gold lines hand-painted to outline the borders.
7 7/8"L x 4"W x 3 5/8"H. Very well made with dovetailed
corners and recessed hinges. Great color. Probably used for jewelry
or keys. Never had a latch or a lock. Circa late 19th century.
There is what appears to be a very tight and faint hairline on
one side of the lid which only extends a couple inches and is
barely noticeable, along with minor paint wear from use, but
overall it is in very good condition for its age. (CJ-35)
