Very small horn powder flask, probably for a pistol, made by a sailor in the late 18th Century, with original carved wooden stopper and a whalebone base plate which has a carved "X" attached with iron tacks. The spout is carved in the shape of a fish mouth. It is approximately 7/8" wide at the base and 6"long. (CQ-18)
