- Great decorative carving
of a resting drake Wood duck by Walt Pendock, dated 1971. The
bird is portrayed with its feathers puffed up, sitting on a piece
of driftwood. Signed and dated on the base. Pendock, from East
Syracuse, NY, is clearly a master carver, but not much information
is available about him on-line. This carving is a real gem, with
terrific detail. Drake wood ducks are very difficult to portray
realistically and he captured it perfectly. Life size. (CS-8)
