- Finely carved pair of mules
found in Kentucky. Carver is unknown, but he or she obviously
was highly skilled and devoted much time to detail. Note
the detailed carving representing hair on both animals. In
addition, while not clearly visible in the photos, one can see
multiple hoof prints carved in the earth under the figures.
The mules stand head to head as is often seen with horses and
mules. 8" high, not including the oval wood base,
which is approximately 12" long x 9" wide. Just
a great piece of folk art. Circa probably 1920's1930's.
